"The itinerary was perfectly calibrated — enough time at altitude without wasting a day. Daihana knew every hidden spot at Uyuni that tour groups miss."

"Swimming with pink dolphins in the Amazon — I didn't even know Bolivia had them. The local river guide was extraordinary, pointing out wildlife I'd have missed."

"We didn't see a jaguar but the wildlife was extraordinary — caimans, giant otters, hundreds of birds. The Jesuit missions were a revelation."

"The Laguna Colorada at sunset with 40,000 flamingos was the single most spectacular thing I have ever seen. Full stop."

"Chalalan eco-lodge is unlike anything else. Community-owned, extraordinarily knowledgeable guides, and the night walk was the most memorable two hours of my entire trip."

"We saw 400+ capybara in a single afternoon. The Beni pampas are completely overlooked by tourists and that is exactly the point. Totally wild, totally unforgettable."

Why LOVEBOLIVIA

01
Bolivian-local guides
Not an aggregator. Every route is designed and led by people who were born in and live inside the ecosystems they show you.
02
Groups of 6–8 travelers
You reach places tour buses never do: community lodges, unnamed rivers, actual silence.
03
Daihana travels with you
We don't outsource. Daihana is on every trip — not as a coordinator, but as the person who designed the route.

Frequently asked questions.

Still wondering about something? Drop us a line — we answer every question personally.

Bolivia has two main seasons: dry (May–October) and wet (November–April). The dry season is best for most routes — clear skies over Uyuni, navigable jungle trails, and cooler highland nights. For the Amazon and Pantanal, the wet season brings more wildlife activity, though river access can be trickier.

Visa requirements vary by passport. Citizens of most EU countries, the UK, Canada, and Australia can enter visa-free for up to 30–90 days. US citizens currently need a visa on arrival ($160 USD). We always recommend double-checking with the Bolivian consulate before travel — regulations can change. We can help you navigate the paperwork.

La Paz sits at 3,600m and some routes reach above 4,800m. Altitude sickness (soroche) is real but manageable. We build acclimatization days into every highland itinerary. We recommend arriving 2–3 days before ascending further, staying hydrated, avoiding alcohol the first 48 hours, and asking your doctor about acetazolamide (Diamox). Coca tea is freely available everywhere and genuinely helps.

Bolivia is one of South America's safer countries for travellers. The main risks are opportunistic theft in crowded markets and unreliable transport in remote areas — nothing unusual for the continent. Our routes include local guides at every destination, vetted accommodation, and a direct WhatsApp contact throughout your trip. Our job is to remove the friction.

Bolivia uses the Boliviano (BOB), pegged close to the US Dollar. Cards are accepted at hotels and upmarket restaurants in major cities, but markets, local buses, and smaller lodges require cash. US dollars are widely accepted as a secondary currency. We recommend bringing USD cash and withdrawing Bolivianos on arrival. ATMs are reliable in La Paz, Santa Cruz, and Cochabamba.

A 45-minute video call with one of our founders, a written route proposal tailored to your dates and interests, a detailed budget breakdown, an accommodation shortlist with direct booking links, and a follow-up email answering any remaining questions. If you then book a full itinerary with us, the $90 is deducted from the total fee.
